Praise the Lord!
The message of Christmas that resounded 2000 years ago is still relevant to us today.
First, it is a message of love and peace. Second, it is a message of joy and hope.
The message of Christmas reminds us that God not only exists, but that He is a living heavenly Father who seeks to restore us to what we were created to be – His children, and He wants to restore us so that we can properly do what we were created to do, which is worship Him.
When we, like Mary, humble ourselves and come to the throne of mercy and grace, knowing that apart from God, we are nothing…
When we, like Joseph, surrender all that we are, and against all understanding, trust Him and give up our will for His will…
When we, like the Shepherds, look upon the Savior of the world with enough awe and wonder that we can’t help but proclaim His salvation to our lost world…
That’s when we have true worship.
And when we truly worship Him, just as the infant Jesus came that first Christmas night, He still comes to us today.
This Christmas season, I ask you, Is Christ real to you? Does He actively live in your heart? Has He taken up residence in your everyday lives?
This Christmas season, I pray that you make sure of your salvation by repenting of your sins and asking Christ to come into your life and be your Savior and Lord forever.
And once you have made a place for Him in your lives, then praise Him and worship Him with all your heart.
Scripture: Psalm 150
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
